The What’s Wrong Review

A simple, no-stress way to understand what’s really happening in your QuickBooks file.

If you’re a consultant, speaker, or trainer, your time is limited, and your books shouldn’t add to the noise.

When things feel “off,” it’s hard to trust your numbers or make savvy business decisions. The What’s Wrong Review is the first step in getting the financial clarity you’ve been missing, without digging through the details yourself.

What You Get

✓ Confidence that your QuickBooks setup supports your business—or clarity on where it doesn’t

A clear explanation of what’s causing confusing or unreliable financial reports, without having to dig through QuickBooks yourself

A low-commitment way to get answers before deciding on any next steps

An experienced, outside perspective that’s honest, practical, and judgment-free

The ability to decide what—if anything—you want to address next, based on real information

Who It’s For

You’re a good fit if you

Own 100% of your company and want financials that support informed decision-making

Run a consulting, coaching, or training firm with annual revenue between $500K and $5M

Who It’s Not For

Are looking for someone to clean up or fix your QuickBooks Online file right away

Want training or real-time help using QuickBooks Online as part of this review

Expect implementation, ongoing support, or multiple follow-up calls to be included

Run a brand-new business or don’t yet have consistent financial activity

Aren’t ready to provide timely access, documents, or responses during the review process

What I Check

I only offer the What’s Wrong Review to clients who are a good match for my processes. During our Get-Acquainted Call, I’ll let you know if this diagnostic service is the right next step.

How well your current system supports day-to-day operations, including invoicing, payments, and basic financial organization

✦ Whether the income you’ve earned is missing, delayed, or sitting in the wrong place

Whether old invoices, unpaid bills, or forgotten items are distorting your numbers

How efficiently you’re collecting client payments and what may be getting in the way of healthy cash flow

Whether your revenue and expense categories make sense for your business and clearly show where profits come from

How independent contractor payments are tracked, especially items needed for 1099s

Whether rules, templates, or workflows in QuickBooks Online are helping—or creating more headaches

✦ Errors in your financial reports that could lead to issues at tax time

✦ Whether your QuickBooks Online settings are causing recurring errors, confusing reports, or unnecessary work

Bank balances and reports that don’t line up, making decisions harder

How It Works

Step 1

Tell me about your business.

Complete a short form so I can understand your business, your current setup, and what feels off.

Schedule a Get-Acquainted Call.

If it looks like a potential fit, I’ll invite you to book a brief call.

Step 3

We talk through what’s going on.

You’ll share what’s happening with your finances, and I’ll explain whether a What’s Wrong Review is the right next step.

Step 4

If we’re aligned, I’ll offer the What’s Wrong Review.

This review takes hours of work, so I reserve it for clients who are ready for meaningful change.
